A Hometown Hero

About Miguel Skip Quintero

I am running for County Commissioner to protect my home, my family, and our way of life in District 2. I believe every neighbor deserves a fair chance to build a business, raise a family, and pass down generational wealth — without fear of government intrusion or rising costs.

I am a performing artist and the founder of a circus arts school that launches real careers. One of my former students is now one of the greatest women trapeze artists in the world, proving what opportunity can do.

I will push to install a camera with audio in the Commissioner’s office so residents can watch what is happening. If corruption thrives in darkness, sunlight must become the standard.

My team and I have a plan to fight rising costs: incentivizing residential construction, eliminate property taxes on homesteads and long-term rentals, increase housing supply to reduce rent, and protect single-family neighborhoods from overdevelopment.

District 2 deserves the same beauty, investment, and opportunity as the wealthiest areas of Miami-Dade — and with your help, we can raise the standard for good government.

Honoring Ella Baker

“Give light and people will find the way.”

Ella Baker (1903–1986) was one of the most influential civil rights organizers in American history — a strategist who believed in empowering everyday people to take ownership of their communities. She rejected top-down leadership in favor of transparency, shared power, and accountability. Her legacy mirrors the mission of this campaign: when people are given light, truth, and access, they will choose the right path for their future.
